This series of images was started in 2004 and the project continued into 2006 when an exhibition was held in Brooklyn to show the final images. The emails I used for the source material were collected during the years 2001 through 2005 with the help of harvey.nu.

At the time I made these, spam email was an overwhelming problem, but a curious one. Some of the emails were almost poetic. These images are a documentation and homage to the creative, but banal themes of spam.

The images were printed on metallic endura paper from 16×20″ to 36×24″. Some images are still for sale. Contact me if you’re interested.
