"SAVE AS" is a series of erotically-charged images about spam email. Thousands of lines of profane and bizarre spam emails are layered, one at a time, by a custom Photoshop script into text mosaics of erotically inspired imagery.
The spam emails were collected during the years 2001 through 2005 with the help of harvey.nu. Each image contains tens of thousands of subject lines ranging from misspelled pharmaceutical advertisements to pornographic drivel. Each line of text is matched to the color of a pixel from a selected source image and then rendered over the course of several days, word by word, layer by layer, into the new image .
Seven images were selected (from over a hundred sketches) and digitally printed on metallic chromogenic paper for an exhibition in Brooklyn during April 2006.
